メリル・ストリープ主演。
貧しい学校の音楽クラスがカーネギーホールで演奏することになる、という話。実話に基づいた話らしい。ゲスト出演なのか、イツァーク・パールマンがイツァーク・パールマンとして出てきたりする。
音楽を中心とした子供と先生のかかわりだけでなく、家族といったテーマでも非常に感動的な内容になっている。
